Jason Day may be unable to attend the open Championship


"If the child is coming that week, I'll definitely be missing the British Open," Day said.

"There
is no way Let me miss the birth of my first child. Golf is one area but loved ones are everything in my opinion.

"Golf
isn't going to be there only break my leg or maybe if I lose the plot and forget the way to swing a club - our kids will be there. It's family first

Day
is now in La, where he or she is preparing for his season debut around the PGA Tour at this week's Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club.

"I am
somewhat nervous along with Mizuno MP-68 Irons a little scared but, obviously, also thrilled," he stated.

"It's our first baby
therefore i have no idea what to expect but it is very very exciting.

"I have
talked to a number of people and they say it changes you for the good however don't know the actual way it can change me yet.
